Pearson's test for correlation is used to establish whether there is a linear relationship between two characteristics, based on samples from individuals. It is related to linear regression, as it measures the explanatory power of the line of best fit.

After selecting Pearson correlation from the menu, simply enter the sample values for each individual. Biostats Calculator will determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables and perform a hypothesis test to determine whether this relationship is significant.
